New Performance Requirement for 4YO Jumper Stallions

On Sunday, December 7th, the BWP/NAD Board of Directors held their last board meeting of 2025 where they voted unanimously to amend the jumping requirements for four-year-old provisionally approved BWP/NAD stallions.
This new standard is equivalent to what stallions in Belgium and the rest of Europe have to perform in order to achieve a year of performance. The new requirements are as follows:
3 clear rounds at a height of 90cm - 1.00m
Only jumping penalties will be counted; time faults accepted
USEF, Equestrian Canada or YHS sanctioned shows where proof of jump height is proven on official records
Stallion owners and agents will need to present these three clear rounds to the BWP/NAD Studbook Committee in order to record their four-year-old performance year.
This new rule can be applied retroactively to licensed stallions who are still in their provisional phase of approval; stallions must have maintained their license for all four years of provisional status.
