Foals will be presented to and inspected by the Keuring Jury; foals should be presented in their birth year to receive their BWP brand, however, under special circumstances they may be presented as yearlings or two-year-olds. Foals will be presented at liberty at their mother's side, it is recommended they be presented free of halters or bridles while their mother should be jogged in hand.

Foals will be divided into groups by sex and breeding direction: Jumper-type or Dressage-type.
