REGISTRATION - FOALS, YEARLINGS & OLDER HORSES
Foals can be registered without inspection with BWP/NAD. They must meet the below requirements and breeders must complete the list below in order to register. Even if you are planning on attending a keuring you can still register online.
Registration closes November 30 of their birth year. Registrations submitted after November 30 but before the end of the year are still eligible for USEF Lifetime Recording; registrations submitted after the start of the next year will be submitted the following year as a yearling. This allows the organization to get all registrations to Belgium by the start of the next year.
Please read all of the below information before registering and please have the following ready before registering: Stallion Certificate filled out or semen proof of purchase, photos of face detail including whorls, nose and lip, left, right, front and rear view of foal/horse. It is recommended that registration be performed on a desktop not mobile.
BWP/NAD Foals born in 2026 must be named with a "D".

1
Declaration of Birth
Each foal needs a Declaration of Birth filled out by the breeder designating the foals name, date of birth, parents, breeder and owner. A stallion certificate or proof of semen purchase and breeding must be presented at time of registration. BWP/NAD has a Breeding Certificate form available for download. Online Registration no longer requires a paper Declaration of Birth, all mailed-in or emailed registrations must have a physical Declaration filled out.
2
Breeding Certification
Please have a veterinarian complete the markings page. Use RED ink for white markings, pink markings should be filled in with RED. Whorls, scars brands and other markings should be noted in BLACK. Please note all whorls on the face, poll region, along the under side of the neck or throat and each side of the crest with an X. Microchip placement should be noted with a “C”. Description of these markings must also be filled out.
3
Microchip
BWP in Belgium requires all foals are registered with a microchip starting in 2025. Passports will only be printed and sent once a microchip number is entered - BWP/NAD will provide microchips once registration is paid.
