Sire Cumano is a legendary international show jumper, World Champion, two-time Olympian, Grand Prix winner (Calgary, Lummen), and among the most influential sires in international sport-horse breeding. Dam My Girl III — by La Zarras (by Landgraf I), descending from the renowned Holsteiner dam line 162. Through “My Girl III,” Cumthago C carries bloodlines connecting to the illustrious mare family that produced horses such as Carthago Z and Lord Calando. This pedigree combines elite jumping performance, proven progenitor success, and a strong maternal dam-line – offering both athletic potential and breeding appeal.

Before standing at stud, Cumthago C/Best Regards competed successfully in Europe up to 1.45 m jumper level. 

After export to the United States, he transitioned to a hunter/conformation career with notable success:

• Champion High Performance Conformation Hunter — WEF 3 & WEF 4 (2020) 

• Champion High Performance Conformation — Kentucky Bluegrass Festival Horse Show (2019) 

• 6th Place — USHJA International Hunter Derby at Deeridge (2019) 

• Additional top placings in USHJA International Hunter Derby Hunt & Go (WEF 4, 2019) and regular “Champion / Reserve Champion” status in High Performance Conformation classes between 2017–2020. 

His production record is as vast as his own competition record. Cumthago C/Best Regards has produced upper level jumpers ranging from 1.55m to 4* Eventing. In the US his offspring are just coming to competition age, but already winning in the hunter rings. These results illustrate his versatility — from international jumpers to high-level hunters — and his soundness and rideability under saddle.
